Nominations for the seventh edition of “Made in Ghana Awards 2020” have opened in Accra. The awards, to be held this year through virtual ceremony is to market, promote and advertise made in Ghana products and Ghanaian-Owned companies live on TV. The deadline for the entries to be submitted for the seventh edition of Made in Ghana Awards 2020 is 13th August, 2020.

The Made-in-Ghana Awards 2019 is an initiative of Entrepreneurs Foundation of Ghana (EFG) and endorsed by the Ghana Standards Authority.

Award winners would be honored through a virtual marketing, advertising and promotion of made in Ghana products and services live broadcast on TV and live streaming on Facebook, YouTube and Instagram. It is scheduled for Saturday, 19th September, 2020, at 5:00pm to 6:00pm.On the theme “Promoting and growing Indigenous business ventures into world class brands”.

The Made in Ghana Awards is about seeking the pride of Ghanaian indigenous forty (40) most celebrated high quality and competitive products and service organizations to create awareness, provide a boost to the business profile and reputation, increase the products’ credibility in international markets and build product and service loyalty to save the local manufacturing and service industries from collapse under the COVID -19 unprecedented global pandemic crisis.

Product Criteria

The Product assessment criteria would be based on the basis of four parameters that demonstrate overall product superior quality, product labeling/packaging, product competitiveness and product standard certification.

Service Criteria

The Service assessment criteria would be based on the basis of three parameters that demonstrate overall service quality, competitiveness and innovation.

Categories

The categories include: Overall Best Industrialist, Personality of the Year, Woman Industrialist, Young Industrialist, Public Officer of the Year,Overall Best Product of the year; Product of the Decade, Emerging product, manufacturing Industry, Indigenous product, Mineral Water; Food & Beverages; Tissue & Paper Products ,Textile & Garments and Building Materials.

Others products are: Pharmaceuticals/Herbal, Alcoholic and Non-alcoholic, Rubber and Plastics; Toiletries and Cosmetics; Aluminum products, Hand Sanitizers, Antiseptics and Disinfectants

Others service categories are, Overall Best Company, State –Owned ,Company of The Decade, Telecommunications, Financial and non-financial services, health Service, telecommunications, Printing  and stationery, Waste  Processing and Recycling  companies in Ghana.

Nominations for the sixth edition of “Made in Ghana Awards and Exhibition” have opened in Accra. The awards, to be held in August this year, on the theme “Promoting Industrialization, the key to  job creation and Economic Development ” the theme is in line with the  government’s vision to industrialize and create jobs  through the one district, one factory initiative .

The award will honor 40 most celebrated Ghanaian personalities and outstanding made in Ghana products and services for the production of quality products and the delivery of efficient services. The deadline for the entries to be submitted for the sixth edition of Made in Ghana Awards 2019 is 30th April, 2019.

The Entrepreneurs Foundation of Ghana (EFG) has opened nominations for the 9th edition of its flagship Ghana Entrepreneur and Corporate Executive Awards 2019.

The deadline for the entries to be nominated for the Ghana most prestigious awards for entrepreneurs & corporate executives is 22nd February, 2019.

Nominations for the Made in Ghana @ 60 Business Quality Awards, scheduled for September, on the theme: “Celebrating 60 years of business quality and development in Ghana,” have opened.It is being organised by Entrepreneurs Foundation of Ghana (EFG), under the auspices of the Ministries of Trade and Industry and Finance, with endorsement from Ghana Standard Authority.

The Made in Ghana Business Quality Awards 2017 recognises business icons representing the 10 regions, companies, products, and services that have met the standards of quality, deserving of praise and commendation from consumers and the public.
A statement issued by Mr Sam Ato Gaisie, Founder and CEO of EFG said 35 most celebrated regional business icons and outstanding made in Ghana quality products and businesses established since independence in Ghana will be honoured to further explore the possibility of promoting made in Ghana quality products and services.

It is therefore an initiative established with the aim of promoting the use of quality and the adoption of effective quality management methodologies by Ghanaian enterprises in improving industrial competitiveness.

The Ghana@60 edition of Made in Ghana Business Quality Awards provide for six categories of award: Ghana@60 Regional Business Icons of the Year, Diamond Jubilee Business Quality Award Golden Jubilee Business Quality Award, Silver Jubilee Business Quality Award and Made in Ghana Products Quality of the Year Award.

Awards Criteria

Entrepreneur Foundation Of Ghana (EFG), In Collaboration with Ghana Standards Authority, has opened nominations for the maiden edition of Ghana-Made Products Awards 2015, scheduled for October August 2015.

The award will provide the platform for improving Ghana-made Products, as well as create awareness, loyalty, recognition and prestige for the goods.

The Ghana-Made Products Awards will make consumers aware of new and quality products manufactured in the country.

A statement issued in Accra yesterday and signed by the Founder and President of EFG, Mr. Ato Gaisie, and made available to the Daily Graphic, said the event was about showcasing Ghanaian products to the citizenry across the country.

“Despite the numerous challenges that the local industry is facing, its biggest challenge has to do with the unfair competition form low quality imported goods on the Ghanaian market, which is holding back the advancement of the private sector and economic growth of the country. These awards are to facilitate the sale of local products to save the economy” the statement said.

Specific products that are adjudged by the consuming public as embody the highest standard of quality will receive the best Ghana-Made Product Awards.

Consequently, entries will be for locally manufactured products and be scored based on product excellence and quality; product value; product leadership; product features; product benefit and sustainability.

The categories include: product of the year; Emerging product; Innovative products; assembled products; Mineral & Sachet Water; Food & Beverages; Textile & Garments; and Building Materials.

Nominations for Made in Ghana Hall of Fame Awards open

Nominations for the “Made in Ghana Hall of Fame Awards” have opened in Accra. As part of the fifth anniversary celebration of Entrepreneurs Foundation of Ghana (EFG), twenty five most outstanding products and services in Ghana will be inducted into the highest award presented by the organization.

The awards, to be held in October this year, on the theme “Nationalism, The key to Social and Economic Development” will honor and induct 25 most celebrated and outstanding made in Ghana products and services into the Hall of Fame for the production of unique products and the delivery of efficient services.

The Awards, an initiative of Entrepreneur Foundation of Ghana (EFG), is being held under the auspices of the Ministry of Trade and Industry and endorsed by Ghana Standards Authority.

The MIG Hall of Fame honor is a shortlisted of celebrated Made in Ghana products and services which has exhibited excellence in manufacturing practices and standards. Those nominated will be evaluated on their contribution to service delivery achievements in creating economic and social values.

Patronage of made in Ghana products and services

Speaking at the launch, the President of the Entrepreneurs Foundation of Ghana (EFG), organizers of the event, Mr Sam Ato Gaisie, said the purpose of the award is to expose Ghanaian indigenous products and services to all citizens in the country in an effort to create awareness and promote made in Ghana products and services and also increases the products credibility on international markets.

He advised Ghanaians to patronise made-in-Ghana goods and services to save the cedi from further depreciation, adding that “if we patronise made-in-Ghana products, importation of products would be reduced and we can create more jobs in Ghana.

The award

Per the voting rules this year, 80 per cent of the votes have been assigned to the public while a panel of experts would possess 20 per cent of the voting rights.

 

Criteria

The assessment criteria for the awards include the Product Quality, Product labeling, Product Packaging, Product market sustainability and Product certification.

 

Categories

The three categories include the Twenty Made in Ghana Hall of fame products, Five Made in Ghana Hall of fame service organizations and five Most outstanding Personalities of the Year, including Ghanaian Personality, Industrialist, Civil and Public Service personality of the year. Entrepreneurs Foundation of Ghana (EFG), has opened nominations for Ghana Entrepreneur Awards Gala 2016, sixth edition.

The dead line for the entries to be nominated for the Ghana most prestigious awards for entrepreneurs is 31st January 2016.

A statement issued in Accra and copied to the Ghana News Agency by Mr. Ato Sam Gaisie, Founder and President of EFG said the award recipients would be honoured at a dinner scheduled for April, at the Banquet Hall, State House in Accra.

The theme for the 2016 awards is: “The role of Entrepreneurship in Economic Growth and Private Sector Development”

EFG launched the awards in 2010 to recognise outstanding Ghanaian and non- Ghanaian permanent resident entrepreneurs to serve as motivation for budding entrepreneurs in sustaining economic growth and generating employment in Ghana.

The key objectives of the awards are to reward the best entrepreneurs in the Ghanaian business community, by showcasing the business leaders and contemporary entrepreneurial spirit and also inspire other Ghanaians to undertake the entrepreneurship path of success.

Entrepreneurs continue to be the engine of growth in Ghana and it is vitally important that their efforts and contributions be recognised, encouraged and celebrated, the statement said.

It said the judging criteria would include an assessment of entrepreneurial spirit, financial performance and growth, vision and innovation, personal integrity and commitment, strategic marketing and corporate social responsibility involvement in Ghana’s economic growth.

A panel of judges will be invited to review the nominations and decide winners in the various categories.

The Personality award categories are: Overall Best Entrepreneur of the Year 2015, Lifetime Entrepreneur Achievement, International Entrepreneur, Business Group Entrepreneur, Woman Entrepreneur and Young Entrepreneur
